Proto J9522 Screw Extractor
Proto J9522 Screw Extractor
Product Description:
- A screw extractor is a tool designed to remove screws that are damaged, stripped, or stuck in place.
- When a screw’s head is worn down or damaged (often from improper use of a screwdriver or wrench), it can be difficult or even impossible to remove it with regular tools.
- A screw extractor helps to grip and remove these problematic screws
- Screw extractors come in various sizes, so make sure to select the extractor that matches the size of the screw or bolt you’re trying to remove.
- If the screw is exceptionally stubborn, you may need to try a larger extractor or apply a penetrating lubricant to help loosen it.
- Using a wrench or pliers that fit onto the square or hexagonal end of the screw extractor, turn it counterclockwise.
- The extractor’s reverse-threaded design will grip the screw threads and start to turn it counterclockwise.
